CourtFlow in August: Team Mixer, smarter competitions, and easier Rumbles

26 August 2026

August brought Team Mixer rumbles, singles and doubles round-robin sessions, stronger competition registration tools, cancel-to-credit for Rumbles, captain waitlist substitutions, QR codes, and more polish for clubs and players.

What’s new on CourtFlow this August

August was a big month for clubs running sessions, Rumbles, and competitions. Here’s what’s live now for players, captains, and tournament directors.

Team Mixer Rumbles

A new Rumble format built for club vs club team play:

  • Four-player teams with a live session clock
  • Simpler scoring, enter the final score when the match is done
  • Clearer captain and host-club workflows for organising the day Ideal when you want structured interclub play without the classic seed-mirrored doubles mixer.

Singles and doubles round-robin sessions

Social sessions can now run as singles or doubles round-robin, not only open play / King of the Court styles. Clubs get cleaner pairings and rotation for more organised midweek and weekend sessions.

Competition upgrades

Competition registration is more self-serve and easier to manage:

  • Partner / teammate requests with accept or decline
  • Date of birth on profiles for age-eligible divisions
  • Capacity and waitlists when events fill up
  • Self-manage registration changes, including Club Credit on competitions
  • Payment requests so captains and TDs can chase unpaid entries without awkward side chats
  • Clearer entry lists and captain visibility for members

Rumbles: fairer when plans change

  • Cancel to Club Credit players can cancel within your club’s policy window and receive credit instead of waiting on a Stripe refund
  • Captain waitlist substitution captains can replace an unavailable draw player with someone already on that Rumble’s waitlist (seed stays the same; schedule isn’t rebuilt)
  • Incoming substitutes on paid events get an email to complete payment
  • Tournament directors still reconcile the outgoing player’s payment after the event
  • Optional invite-code rules, QR codes for joining, and better score/admin hardening for event day

Everyday polish

  • QR codes for Rumbles and competitions faster join links for posters and WhatsApp
  • Court hire member pricing for clubs that offer member rates
  • Shop improvements (including MOQ / order-run support)
  • Contact / enquiry updates and clearer terms acceptance
  • Rumble stats and smaller UX fixes across currency display, session check-in, and Stripe Connect for clubs

What to try next

  1. Host a Team Mixer or try round-robin on your next social session
  2. Turn on competition waitlists and partner requests for your next event
  3. Share a QR code on your next Rumble poster
  4. Check your club’s cancel-to-credit deadline before the next paid Rumble
